[Ressac : The french word for a rip current, which is a strong subsurface flow of water returning seaward from the shore resulting usually from wave action.]

This title inspires the designer’s craft. Ressac is a new ecodesign fashion company that started in Montreal in March 2009. Our aim? To recycle materials into fresh new urban designs.

By reusing flat bike tubes, Anne Painchaud-Ouellet creates fun new bags and accessories. The sustainable, waterproof quality of this material has a leatherlike feel and, coupled with Anne’s unique ‘urban’ design, the products are not only eco friendly, they are both attractive and practical.
